There are times that a person may look back and not realize a certain beauty so close to home…not until you disappear for a year or so without giving it a second glance. Being away from home for six years can make one’s memory slip in a sense. But there is a bit of a rugged beauty to the southwest from the endless miles of mesquite and cacti to the dusty border towns.
